FamilyMaps helps families discover nearby child-friendly places. We take privacy seriously and want to be transparent about what information we use.

We do not create accounts or ask for personal details. The information we handle is limited to:

• Your device location, with your permission, so we can find nearby places.
• Search and filter preferences you choose while using the app (for example, distance or category).
• Technical information such as your browser or device type, only to make the app work.

We use the information above to:

• Show family-friendly places near your location.
• Sort results by distance and apply filters you select.
• Improve the service and fix problems.

Your location is requested only when you allow it. It is used in the moment to find nearby places and is not stored permanently by FamilyMaps. You can disable location access at any time in your device or browser settings.

We use trusted third-party services to power parts of the app:

• Google Maps Platform — to show places, photos, ratings, and directions. Use is governed by Google's terms and privacy policy.
• Lovable Cloud hosting — to serve the app and run backend functions. Data is handled according to Lovable's privacy practices.

We use a small local storage item to remember your language choice. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

We do not store personal information on our servers. Language preferences are stored locally on your device only.

You can stop sharing your location, clear your browser's local storage, or contact us with questions about your data.

FamilyMaps is designed for families. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not require accounts or contact details.
